Come join us on our 40 ft. pontoon boat The Osprey. She holds 30 passengers, so bring your family, friends, church groups, senior groups, scouts and school groups to us and enjoy an exciting voyage!
Choose from Eco-boat tours on Lake Marion, Lake Moultrie, The Pinopolis Lock, The Tailrace Canal and the Cooper River. Our scenic trips are fully narrated by an experienced Naturalist / Biologist and are enjoyed by school groups, church groups, scout groups and family reunions. Curriculum based field trips available as we have University Degreed Biologists and Naturalists on staff.
Narration includes cultural history of the Santee-Cooper Lakes, area folklore tales and natural history interpretation of the area wildlife flora and fauna. Each trip is very unique because we never know what we will see. It is always a wonderful journey as we explore sunken, flooded forests, wildlife refuges and unique places only accessible by boat.

The Wildlife Swamp Tour is our original and most requested tour. It lasts approximately 2 hours round trip from Santee State Park and 3.25 hours round trip from Wyndham Resort. You can anticipate seeing pristine wildlife including several species of wetland wading birds including egrets and herons, as well as anhingas, ducks, and neo-tropical migrating songbirds. Along the way we’ll journey through “Osprey Village” where we view over 20 osprey nests in the middle of the swamp. Occasional alligators and lots of turtles can also be seen. The voyage meanders through a Bald Cypress and Water Tupelo Forest that is absolutely beautiful. We’ve been conducting this tour for over 23 years and repeat customers come back year after year!
The Beautiful Resort Trip is two hours long as we cruise along The Santee Cooper Resort, into their cove, past limestone cliffs and caves. It journeys into an area where there is no development giving us a wonderful opportunity to see abundant wildlife. This trip provides a nice combination of beautiful homes and wildlife sightings. It leaves from downtown Santee, SC.
The Wildlife Refuge Trip is a nice two hour trip that can be extended to three. We explore the waters surrounding the Santee National Wildlife Refuge “Plantation Islands” and view the famous and historic Santee Indian Ceremonial and Burial Mound. Included is Revolutionary War ruins and stories of the Swamp Fox himself, General Francis Marion. On this trip we’ll also explore Scotts Lake and the Jacks Creek area where wildlife abounds in a beautiful bald cypress flooded forest. This is also a great trip for birders.
Lock Trip – See Lock page for description
Catfish Dinner Cruise & Cocktail Hour (BYOBeverage on the boat) starts at 4:30 pm from Wyndham Resort with a pickup at Santee State Park at 5:10 pm. On this “cruise” we’ll explore the Swamp and the Santee River. Then we’ll head over to the Marina for some fresh catfish and “fixins.” Return time is about 3 to 3.5 hours after departure.
